Scientist Sir Claud Amory makes a groundbreaking discovery that could change the future of mankind. But then the unthinkable happens: his formula is stolen! Worried, he calls the famous master detective Hercule Poirot for help. In a final attempt, Sir Claud gives the perpetrator the option of getting out of the matter unscathed. But this ends in tragedy: there is a dead man.
Agatha Christie’s first self-penned play “Black Coffee” captivates with numerous suspects and a crime case that is complex on stage. In our four performances, the audience at Theater 99 not only sits close to the action, but can also enjoy Christie’s original text. The criminal case keeps the audience in suspense until the very last moment. Who is the culprit? What is the motive? And can Poirot prevail in the end?
